Nicaragua to participate in international finance and investment forum

Nicaragua will participate in the Central America Finance & Investment Forum organized by LatinFinance in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, this January 28th and 29th. The event will explore the pace, direction and possible longer-term evolution of the region’s economies, leading sectors and capital markets.

During the event, Nicaragua’s Official Investment Promotion Agency, PRONicaragua, will be participating in a discussion panel titled “Capturing FDI”, which will take place at 11:35 am on Thursday, January 29th. The panel will be discussing topics such as the main sectors driving the upswing in the region’s foreign direct investment (FDI), the region’s human capital and the best export and investment promotion incentives.

Additionally, three Nicaraguan businessmen will be participating in the event’s presentations: Raúl Amador Torres, President of Invercasa; Luis Rivas, CEO of BANPRO; and Lars Saquero Moller, General Manager of Ingemann Food Nicaragua S.A.

This two-day event seeks to address the integration and development of capital markets in Central America and will also include one on one meetings, and practical workshops, that seek to analyze and take advantage of the opportunities in the most critical sectors to detonate growth and competitiveness in the region.
