The Plastics Export Promotion Council of India (PLEXCONCIL) will lead a delegation of Indian manufactures and exporters of plastic items to participate in a Buyer Seller Meet (BSM) in Managua on March 17th. The Embassy of India in Panama, PLEXCONCIL and the Chamber of Commerce and Services of Nicaragua (CCSN, for its Spanish acronym) are organizing the event.
The delegation of 16 member companies of PLEXCONCIL are keen to discuss commercial alliances, joint ventures or commercial deals with Nicaraguan companies.
PLEXCONCIL represents the exporting community of the Indian Plastics industry and plays a major role in its exports, which are set to reach US$10 billion by 2015-2016. Products from the Indian plastic industry are exported to over 150 countries around the globe.
According to the IMF and OECD forecasts, India is poised to register a 7.5 percent economic growth rate between 2015 and 2016. This would make India the fastest growing large economy in the world and the projection is that it would continue to do so over the next decade.
Nicaragua has transformed itself into one of the safest and fastest-growing countries in Latin America and has a stable political system, like India. Nicaragua, a leading destination in starting a business and investor protection, is of great interest to Indian exporters. The visit of the Indian companies and entrepreneurs, reflects the growing synergy between the robust economies of India and Nicaragua.
