PRONicaragua, the official investment promotion agency of Nicaragua, will be participating in the Centennial Expo of the Republic of China (Taiwan), a multi-sectorial fair whose purpose is to to promote trade and investment between the two countries. Important Taiwanese companies will also be present at the fair beginning today and extending until July 31st, in search of business opportunities in Nicaragua.
The agency’s participation is part of its constant collaboration in events aimed at fostering bilateral trade and investment opportunities between Nicaragua and key international markets.
PRONicaragua’s booth will be located in the pavilion for the Friends of Taiwan, along with the Superior Council of the Private Enterprise, the Nicaraguan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Nicaraguan Association of Producers and Exporters, the Nicaraguan Association of Coffee Exporters, and several universities.
In turn, her Excellency Ingrid Y. W. Hsing, Ambassador of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Nicaragua, expressed that the fair will serve as a platform to share Taiwan’s experience in trade activities and latest technological efforts, therefore strengthening the relation between both countries.
The expo involves the participation of 24 Taiwanese companies, among them renowned brands such as BenQ, Genius, D-Link, Adata and MSI. The expo will also be exhibiting machinery, office packaging equipment, auto and truck parts, computers, jewelry, cosmetics and toys.
China (Taiwan) and Nicaragua have shown a great interest in exploring and developing cooperation, strategic alliances in order to promote quality business opportunities between both countries. Her Excellency Ambassador Hsing mentioned she expects that trade activities between Taiwan and Nicaragua continue to grow under the free trade agreement in force since 2008.
Executives of PRONicaragua recently visited the Republic of China (Taiwan) by invitation of the government of this country, with the objective of meeting with companies of various economic sectors and promoting investment opportunities in Nicaragua.
